Hearing Loops
A room induction loop system is a technology that has been around for a few years now ,what I intend to do is to take the technology right down to a single user system, making a connection to your television enabling a crisp clean sound through your hearing aid without the need to have your television volume turned up.
How do Hearing Loops work?
The system works by sound driven trough a scart connection to the back of your television into a small transmitter then a wire has to be run around the perimeter of the room a signal that only a hearing aid switched to the t position can pick up is transmitted around the room enabling the user to listen to the television even with the volume turned off.
A typical Hearing Loop installation
The install includes a microphone that can be placed next to a telephone or a door chime or even placed in the middle of the room will pick up conversation and transmit this through the loop also.
Fully installed this system can not only benefit the user, but also other people in the home due to reduced volumes.
